On Blogging and the Snow

Yesterday I was notified by WordPress that I’m apparently on a roll having posted 5 days in a row.  I think my being cooped up here during Snowmageddon has something to do with it – which makes me wonder – what did those pioneers…

Hummingbirds in the Snow

Yesterday I went looking for ‘Red” for a photo challenge – I guess I could have waited and included these pictures from this morning too. As you probably know by now we are in the midst of Snowmageddon here in the Pacific Northwest with…

Looking for Red

The snow is beautiful but after days and days of cold and white I thought I’d go looking for Red,  in this week’s photo challenge from Travel with Intent. I found it first in a pot of flowers, that brightened up Benji in the…

Snow Day with Benji and Tiger

The fire is going, the shelves are stocked and the promised Snowmageddon has begun in the Pacific Northwest.   Staying snug inside where all is warm and safe. ~ Susanne and  Benji and Tiger

Snow Day in the Garden

The snow arrived on little cat feet yesterday then mounted a lion-size assault overnight, so we woke to this. Like most Seattleites I was thrilled as it seemed winter had been passing us by. Parents called in, schools were closed and social media lit…

Snow Day with Benji

The snow came in on little cat feet  blanketing everything with its calming beauty. The little cat footprints are still there. ~ Susanne and Benji

A Week of Winter Gardening

Yes it’s far too early to have snow.  And yes, it’s going to be a long, long winter. And yes, I’m lucky I don’t have to drive in it if I don’t want to.  Still, isn’t it pretty? ~ Susanne

I asked for the rain to go away ….

Seems like only yesterday I asked please no more rain and today I woke up to this. It’s soft and pretty and wet and I want to play in it but it’s deeper than me.  But Tiger wasn’t afraid at all. I didn’t know he was so brave……

A memory in snow….

Our first snow arrived earlier this week but was short-lived. The ground is all clear, the air icy cold, while we wait for the next round of snow to appear. Clouds are moving in but glorious patches of blue remain like parfait. Is this the sky…

My first snow

This is Benji and today I got to see my first snow.  It made the world white and cold.  Soft and wet.  I liked it best from my warm printer perch. I like snow. ~  Benji
