Beautiful, Susanne! I thought we had a hint of spring then suddenly the sky opened up with graupel, hail, ice and a few flakes. I had just swept all the birdseed and gravel off the dry backyard deck. Hans wanted to salt it and I said, “Nah, nothing’s gonna happen.” Duh, it’s still February! Great captures and perfect for Valentine’s Day 🙂
Thanks, Terri! I saw the weather forecast last night and thought they were way off. Then surprise!! 🙂 🙂 Fortunately, just enough fell here to be pretty!
Just as well you have those heated car seats. 🙂
Gorgeous icy berry photos, Susanne.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, those seats will come in handy today! 🙂 Thanks, Pete.
Ice and berries what a “cool” photo 😀
Thanks so much! 🙂 🙂
The snow comes here tonight. Bring on the 10”! I suspect it was prettier for you than it will be for us. It is all dry and brown, here. Good pics!
Thanks so much! I do like a sprinkling of snow in the garden.. This was just a passing squall so I’m hoping spring will return tomorrow!
They are very pretty! Vegas has 45 degrees, snow flurries, and gusts to 60mph today, yet yesterday was sunny and 62. What a flip-flop!
So you got it too!!.❄❄
Yes and I’ve had enough of cold weather. Bring back the 100s. 🔥
Beautiful pictures ! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!
I hope nothing froze that was opening too soon. Here it was in the mid 50’s and all our plants are quite confused. I hope we don’t get a hard freeze with accompanying snow any time soon.
This came and went so quickly I think it will be fine..
Beautiful photos.
Thank you.
SO BEAUTIFUL. Susanne I’m guessing you probably don’t want to “go commercial” but as for me I would love to be able to purchase prints or posters of at least some your photos, especially the ones that personally “speak” to me though IMO all are art gallery candidates. It would be wonderful to have a print of one of these winterberry photos (“fire and ice” might be a good caption!) right next to my computer screen in my (overused) home office. These photos are a true blessing in this truly “bleak midwinter.”
Thanks so much for your lovely comment!! I’m happy to bring you some color during the grays of winter and you’ve certainly given me some food for thought! 😍
