Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Excepting my feature photo, all of my Cityscapes are from the USA. Granted, they may be obvious, but even so, why don’t you give it a whirl? Name the City represented in each grid.

And along with the spirit of Family, here’s one of my favorites of me and Mom and my brother John at the Bean (squint and you’ll see him in the reflection, taking the picture!) from a trip to Chicago long ago.

Sharing with #SundayStills photo challenge.

P.S. Just in case you need it, here’s the key: Grid #1 – San Francisco, Grid #2 – Chicago, Grid #3 – New York City, Grid #4 – My hometown of Seattle. And the feature photo? London!
I see you took the street photography to heart, Susanne! Love the pic of you and your mom. We miss them don’t we? I got San Francisco and Seattle correct. Great shots of of these!
Thanks, Terri! I had fun going through some of my cityscape photos from my travels. I love that photo of me and mom in Chicago, because it also includes my brother’s reflection as the taker of the picture! And my mom is still with us at 96!!:)
Oh, wow, you’re so lucky to still have your mom! ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
A fun little game Susanne. Nicely done.
Thanks, Graham. 😊
Grid #1, SF, for sure – the bridge. Could Grid #2 be Chicago? Not West Coast, but it looks like the river architectural cruise. Grid #4 had to be Seattle with the Fish Market and Space Needle. Dead giveaway. Grid 3 has me stumped. 🙂 And now I see the answers. LOL This is such a fun post, Susanne. xxx
Thanks for playing along, Marsha! 🙂 When I put the grids together, I thought they’d be obvious, but I later realized it was only obvious to me, because I was the one who took the pictures! And I left out some of the more popular landmarks for NYC, so you did well! 🙂
I love that triangular building, though. I think several cities have similar shaped buildings. I don’t remember the era – maybe 1920s?
I stumbled across that beautiful, ornate building in Midtown Manhattan, NYC. The Alwyn Court, a landmark, built in 1907.
okay, pre-1920s then. According to Google there were several dozen triangular buildings built in the early 1900s. There are 12 in NYC alone. Apartments in Alwyn Court are now selling on Zillow for 1.9 M. Wow!
GREAT PICTURES!!
Thank you! 😊
I have not looked at the answers, and bearing in mind I have never been to America I am guessing some of them. San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, NYC. I won’t mind if I am wrong. (Perhaps I should do some British cityscapes, see who gets them?)
Best wishes, Pete.
Well, you got them all! 🙂 I thought they might be too obvious, but I was surprised, not many got all of them. I would love to see some British cityscapes, but I’ve only been to a few cities in England, so I probably wouldn’t do well. It would be fun to see your pictures, though!
Okay, I will see what I can come up with. ☺️
Yay! 🙂
Posting tomorrow. 7 British cities, one easy one. ☺️
You are fast!! Hopefully, I’ll get more than 1! ☺️
Great post. Like the reflection of the photographer.
Thank you. 😊
Those were fun! I knew Seattle before I saw the pic of the space needle…just had to see the fish throwers 🙂
Thanks, Kirstin! I had fun putting the grids together.
