Trees at the Golden Hour

“Listen to the trees talking in their sleep,’ she whispered, as he lifted her to the ground. ‘What nice dreams they must have!”

_ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

I don’t doubt that trees dream at night, but I like to catch them before they go to sleep, during the golden hour.

“For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver.”

Martin Luther

This little tree lives in the park at the end of my street, perhaps ordinary by day,

it’s positively glorious by night.

  1. Gorgeous shots…trees provide us with so much and are taken for granted by so many! Thanks for this golden tribute!

  2. Susanne, those are amazing trees, especially in low light with a beautiful sunset peeking through the branches. Thanks for joining in with #WQWWC. Isn’t it cool to be able to address two or more challenges with one post? You’ve put them together so well. 🙂

    • Thanks so much Marsha. 😊 I’m not accustomed to using quotes so it was fun to look for those I wanted to use with my pictures. And I love trees so it was a perfect match with Becky’s Squares!

  3. Lovely shots, and a great idea. Trees may not dream, but I can hear our very old Oak ‘talking’ to me at night as I lie in bed.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. Lovely golden hour photos 🙂 I love how the changing skies transform your ‘ordinary’ tree!
