Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Posted on March 31, 2020 by Susanne Swanson
I hope there’s a road trip in my future this spring.
I don’t know what the rules will be.
We’d take our little trailer
on lonely highways through wide open spaces
with sunsets like this
and practice social distancing.

Hope your dream comes true, Susanne. Lovely photos. π
Thank you. If not this spring, maybe summer or fall. π
I bet your tiny caravan can’t wait to get going. Better than being a cat-bed.! You should write a book for kids, from the point of view of that caravan. “The Tiny Adventures of the Tiny Trailer”. π
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. Can’t wait to take it out! The book idea is a good one, but it may have to wait for the Benji stories first! So much to do but all this time to do it, right? π
Yes, time to plan plan and plan some more for that day when those wide open spaces are again! Great photos!
Thanks John! These were from Eastern Washington and Idaho if I remember correctly! And yes, now’s the time to dream! π
And may the spring bring you your road trip.
Yes, I hope so! If not, there’s always summer or fall! π
I hate to think of you just driving back and forth in your driveway! Hope you can get out soon.
If worse comes to worst we can always sleep in the trailer and pretend we’re somewhere else! That way Tiger and Benji could join us! πΊπΈ
And watch travel videos!
Beautiful photos, Susanne. In Ireland we can only go for a short walk that’s within 2 km from our house and that’s all. No road trips, no camping trips and certainly no adventures of any kind π But we spend lots of time in our campervan that’s securely parked in our driveway. We make tea and cook pasta. We read books and remember past trips. It helps with wanderlust π Aiva Stay safe and positive
We’re only supposed to go out for essential shopping but are allowed to go for walks with proper social distancing in place. We’re enjoying those. How fun to spend time in your campervan. Our trailer’s out front too but we haven’t been in it since late last summer. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can do some traveling, maybe by summer if we’re lucky. Thanks for your comment, and you stay safe and positive too! π
