Thanks, Pete. 😊 It’s a common bird in N. America. Called a snowbird where it overwinters in some areas, but a year-round resident in the Northwest.

We also only get them in the late fall and winter. They show up nicely when there is a snow background–black on white. They like the seeds on the ground that the other birds scatter.
Also called Snowbirds for that reason. Sweer little birds, They’re starting their courtship here now. 😊
Here birds are looking around for nesting sites. One checked out a birdhouse earlier today.
