Junco in the Spring Garden

I love all the birds who call my garden home, including this year-round resident, the Dark-Eyed Junco, looking quite dapper surrounded by green.

    • Thanks, Pete. 😊 It’s a common bird in N. America. Called a snowbird where it overwinters in some areas, but a year-round resident in the Northwest.

  1. Excellent photos of a pretty bird. We don’t get them over here so it’s a treat to see them in your blog 🙂

  2. Always love your bird pics…will be sharing a video of my Hummingbirds going absolutely crazy outside….mesmerizing!

    • Thanks, John. So many beautiful birds visit my yard. Can’t wait to see you’re hummingbirds! I love photographing mine but have never gotten a good video!

  3. We also only get them in the late fall and winter. They show up nicely when there is a snow background–black on white. They like the seeds on the ground that the other birds scatter.
