Happy (Belated)Love Your Pet Day!

There’s a day for everything! And when it comes to your pets, why not? They deserve it. So even though I’m late – the special day was last Sunday – I’m not too late to share the love for this week’s theme on Sunday Stills.

So let me introduce my pets to you! First up is Benji looking quite dapper on my desk. In the way as usual, while I was working on my blog. In fact, that’s him on the screen behind – though I ended up not using that picture in this story.

He’s a sweetheart. Soft, cuddly, and talkative.

Small in size but big in personality. And energy. Earlier today he was running wild, so I booted him out the front door.

A few minutes later he decided to join me in the back – taking his favorite shortcut across the roof to get there. He’s a smart boy, what can I do?

Tiger’s the senior cat in the family and despite the name, he’s the timid one. You’ll never see him on the roof. Or running wild. Or running at all, unless he’s being chased by Benji.

But you will see him outside rambling about the garden alone,

taking time to smell the sunflowers.

As different as night and day.

  2. sweet kitties! I have a passel of tabbies and white and tabbies, thanks to a feral kitty who showed up in my backyard. Alas I didn’t befriend her in time, and she presented me with 5 kittens who have grown to be three times the size of their momma.

  3. I love both of your kitties! We had cats for a long time but now have two adorable dogs. Pets are the best!!

  4. Tiger is marked like my Fida cat was. He’s been gone for many years but he was a lover and liked to be close to you. His idea of punishment was not being allowed to sit on you!

  8. I always love seeing your sweet kitties, Susanne, they are quite the characters! I love how you caught the glint in Benjie’s eye as his wild cat instincts take over! I recognize that wild look with the dilated pupils. I used to chastise my cats with their “big eyes” when they were up to something! Tiger looks so much like my old Stormy–so pretty with the gray and white face and green eyes!

  16. Aww I had forgotten there was a Love Your Pet day! Of course we all know we love our pets every day. The pics of Benji being wild in the garden are so cute. That face! And Tiger is cute as always. 🐱🐱

    • Thank you! There’s so many special pet and cat days it’s hard to keep them all straight! But you’re right, we celebrate them daily! 😻😻
