Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
And a full day it was at the Washington State Fair, formerly and affectionately known as the Puyallup Fair, by all who grew up here! We arrived just after the gates opened and stayed until the sun had set. We walked what seemed like miles around the grounds enjoying the sights, the sounds, the tastes, the colors, the animals, vendors, and aromas of the Fair, just as we have each year for as long as I can remember. The pictures tell all, I think.

Wonderful photos! I especially like the fruit/veggies and the two pigs.
Thanks Lauren! The piglets were so cute! 🙂
Do they still sell Fisher Scones with strawberry jam? Burgers with grilled onions?
Oh yes! First thing I do every year is get my scone! And the aroma of grilled onions permeates the fairgrounds! It’s wonderful! 🙂
Great shots. I remember the days when I would jump on those rides. Now you couldn’t pay me to get on one. 🙂
I love wandering among the rides but I am long past getting on one of them! though occasionally I’ll do the skyride. 🙂
You are much braver than I!
Well maybe… but I didn’t go on it this year! 🙂
