Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
I have many other things I could be sharing on this dull Monday morning, but instead, I bring to you this flying jewel, a handsome Anna’s Hummingbird, seen through my office window.
A welcome distraction.

Such delightful tiny birds to have so close to the house. You have mastered how to capture them too.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks so much, Pete. 😊When I added the feeder to the front yard over the winter, I didn’t realize how much that would help me photograph them. Without having to stand outside in the cold and scaring them away by my presence!
Aww I love the bird! I have two hummer feeders in the backyard, they are so fun to watch! No seed feeders because of the nasty Rock Pigeons..
I love my hummers, too! I don’t put seed out anymore as it attracts nasty rodents, worse than rock pigeons! 😦
Good idea, Susanne. I’ve never seen a squirrel or chipmunk around my house but they are in the Mountains.
I like squirrels and chipmunks; I was talking about rats! 😦
Oh, oops! 😬🤭
My Hummingbird’s have been very thirsty lately, gong through a bowl of liquid in under two days! Beautiful photos as always
Thanks, John. I love the variety of hummingbirds you enjoy at your feeders!
Adorable!
Sweet little bird! 😊
Gorgeous! Hugs, C
Thank you! 🙂
