Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
As I was breaking down the beautiful bouquets mom and I received – we had a trying month – and readying them for the compost pile, I couldn’t help but notice that despite being worn they retained their beauty.
The thought was sweet and the scent was too so I’m sharing with Sunday Stills Challenge.

They are still beautiful, Susanne! ☺️
I agree! I kept whittling them down as they were dying but still they are beautiful!
Well done. ☺️
I am always impressed with how long florals last if cared for properly, Susanne! Such beautiful bouquets; I’m sure you and your mom really enjoyed seeing and smelling them! Perfect for “sweet!”
Thanks, Terri. It was so thoughtful of family members to send flowers. I kept thinning them out as needed but even after the 10th day (today) they looked beautiful, even when piled in a heap! 🙂
I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a difficult month 😞 You’re right though, these flowers are lovely. I think I’d be hanging on to then for a few days yet!
Thankfully, we made it through! 😊 The bouquets were gorgeous and I kept thinning them out.. a few of the best remain and the rest have been composted.
I can smell their fragrance just by looking at your beautiful shots.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed them!
Those were beautiful. Great choices for the theme.
Thanks so much!
