As summer wanes the flowers in my garden are looking rather spent. Still, they are full of color and attracting bees.
I sat and watched them recently as they diligently worked the remaining blossoms

Lovely shots, Susanne. You captured the bees so well. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you so much, Pete. I sat for a long time watching them and was pleased with some of the photos I got. 🙂
Very beautiful photos, Susanne!
Thank you so much!

Fabulous, Susanne! You took these with your Lumix? Looks like I can reach out and actually get stung!
Thanks so much, Terri! Yes indeed! I love my Lumix for close ups!!
I plan to experiment this week with it when we go to Portland 😁
Beautiful close-ups. I don’t know if we would categorize these as worker bees or not, but they look pretty busy to me. Those flowers still are providing some great shades of color.
Thank you. The new fall flowers I planted have retained their color and the bees seem very happy with them! 🙂

Amazing Pictures! You should make your own calendar!
Thank you so much! I should at least get a few printed now and then. With everything digital I forget to do that!
I second that. What about it, Susanne? Your loyal readers want a calendar!
Thank you! 😊
Excellent!! Such wonderful pictures!
Thank you!! 🙂 🙂
STUNNING. You do the closeup studies and the landscapes/seascapes and — for lack of a better phrase — “sky scapes” equally well. Thank you for the daily offering of everything beautiful nature has to offer. Deeply appreciated, Susanne.
So glad you enjoy the pictures! Thank you. 😊
Great colors and great bee photos!
Thanks so much!

Fantastic bee photos Susanne! I always love watching them at work too 🙂
Thanks so much, Sarah. I wanted fresh photos for this challenge and had fun with my bee shoot! 🙂
It certainly paid off – an excellent set 🐝🐝
Awesome close ups! How did you do the ones with the black background? 🐝🐝
Thanks so much! I tried various settings on my camera while photograhping the bees and got lucky (and surprised) by the black background! I’m going to review my settings to see how I did it, so I can replicate it again! 😉 🙂
