Yes, I live in the land of green, in the Seattle area, in the Evergreen state of Washington! Lots of rain and lots of green and even though it’s still cold, it does feel like spring is in the air!
Susanne, the green is so very precious and it is concerning that with climate change we may see less of it. Too many years ago to confess to, I was on the horse show circuit with my “one horse show string” and most of those competitions were in hot, dry, perpetually dusty locations. Eastern Washington (which admittedly has its own stark beauty), eastern Oregon, Boise, Kalispell, Bozeman, parts of Colorado, Albuquerque, and Scottsdale (where anything actually green comes from rapidly depleting aquifers). Every time returning across Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 after days spent with eyes weary from so much relentless brown/tan landscapes and suddenly being greeted with green at last – that was truly euphoric.
Thankfully we still have green due to lots of rain in the Northwest. We also have record breaking summer temps too (113 last June) unheard of for this area. So yes, climate change is real.
Interesting, isn’t it – that practicing gratitude even for the smallest things (and especially for our four-legged family members every hour of every day!) ends up with receiving more gifts for which to be grateful.
Beautiful photos, Susanne! 😻❤️
Thanks so much! 🙂 🙂
Lovely pictures- every single time! Thank you!
Aw, thank you for your lovely comment! 😊😊
💚
Nicely done, Susanne. We had a sunny start to the week this morning. It felt like Spring was really here.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! So wonderful that spring is in the air!
“Morning has broken / like the first morning…”
Yes. 😊😊
All that green!! Where do you hail from that spring has arrived already?! (we had snow. rain, freezing rain and more snow!)

Lovely photos and sentiment!
Thank you so much!
Love the light and the atmosphere it conveys in the first photo and the 2 paw pals in the second 🙂
Thanks so much! I loved watching the morning sunrise, along with Tiger and Benji! 😊

Amen to that! 🙂
