Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Yesterday we visited Carkeek Park. I don’t know how many years it’s been as we don’t get to Seattle much since we moved to Renton. I’d forgotten how you can almost reach out and touch the Olympics further north. It was clear, cold and windy but oh so beautiful! We saw ducks on the beach, eagles in the sky and robins in the woods.

Beautiful photos, Susanne!
Thanks so much!
Oh so wonderful photos you got for this week. Thanks for playing 😀
Thanks so much! Happy to stop by! 🙂
Great shots, Susanne. I am always jealous of mountain scenery, as Norfolk is so flat. But at least the absence of a mountain range usually means less snow! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! I had forgotten how much closer the Olympics appear across the Sound just a few miles north! 🙂
Gorgeous Photos Susanne! 💕C
Thanks so much! 🙂
We don’t have robins or ducks here, but lots and lots of eagles and hawks! Something for everyone. I’m jealous of your beautiful scenery! I hope the wildfires give us a pass this year so that i may enjoy the Colorado scenery around me.
I love all the variety of birds. I’m glad you have eagles and hawks to enjoy, both are majestic! I do feel spoiled here in the Pacific NW surrounded by water and mountains in all directions. And I hope we are all spared the wildfires this year.
Me, too,
Beautiful mountain views and such a cute robin, not to mention the eagle – wonderful!
Thanks, Sarah! It was a perfect day to be at the park! 🙂
It looks it!
Gorgeous scenery…however, I almost laughed out loud when. you said you don’t get up to Seattle much….I think of it as ten minutes away!
Yeah, right? 😉 🙂 It’s just that we visit the parks in the south end so much we rarely visit any of the parks in North Seattle! Carkeek was one of our regulars when we lived there.
Awesome picture of eagle. The robin is similarly wonderful, but the eagle inspires amazement.
Thank you! I will never get tired of seeing an eagle soaring overhead.
So pretty! 😀
Thank you!

Thank you so much! 🙂
You are welcome 😀
Beautiful!!
Thank you! You’re busy on the blog today! 😊😊
Yes I am- I have a lot to catch up on- and it relieves my stress considerably. It really helps me to not feel quite so ‘alone.’ And I truly do miss everyone when I can’t post. I’m going to also (at some point today)- update my “About” page- since a lot has changed. And hopefully do some other things too.
That all sounds good!! 🥰🥰
Thank you! 🐈⬛
