Nesting Birds in the Garden
Our little garden shed has become quite the bird condo with wrens in particular nesting in the birdhouses my husband built. I wasn’t sure they’d be happy so close to their neighbors but it hasn’t deterred them.
Every morning they’re out and about gathering materials to take back into their houses. Perhaps by now they are even gathering food to feed their young. I’ll keep a watch out for fledglings.

Our Blue Tits in the Oak tree nesting box were rearing young as early as April. I think they are on their second brood now. 🙂

Wonderful! We had nesting birds in April too. I remember chickadees nesting in the stony house at front. The wrens have been very active the last month or so. 🙂 Hard to keep up with them all!

No, I never tried. They’re pretty rare in Western Washington. I’ve never seen one.
