Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
They say you should bloom where you are planted. My Clematis thinks otherwise and is climbing up, up, up and over to escape the confines of my yard, fence or whatever else is in the way.
I think it has the better idea.

I love to see that. I had three Clematis plants in a garden when I lived in London, but they never went higher than the top of the fence. I didn’t have anything bigger nearby for them to climb on. π
Best wishes, Pete.
I’m amazed at how they climb! It seems nothing can stop them! π
Those flowers are beautiful!
Thank you so much! I look forward to them taking over the garden every May! π
Gorgeous photos π
Thank you so much! π
Gorgeous blooms. Is that a Montana? it looks like one I had that also loved to climb.
Thank you! Yes, I think it is a Montana. It takes over my garden every May.
They are enthusiastic, but such prolific blooms and a nice scent if I remember correctly.
I love it!
Wow, that’s beautiful! I love Clematis Montana π
Thank you! π
Wow thatβs amazing! I donβt think we have clematis here. I would think they would attract hummingbirds?
I haven’t noticed the hummingbirds in particular on the clematis but they must visit it. I do see finches nesting in the tall green shrubs covered with clematis.
