Bloom Where You’re Planted – Or Not!

They say you should bloom where you are planted. My Clematis thinks otherwise and is climbing up, up, up and over to escape the confines of my yard, fence or whatever else is in the way.

I think it has the better idea.

  1. I love to see that. I had three Clematis plants in a garden when I lived in London, but they never went higher than the top of the fence. I didn’t have anything bigger nearby for them to climb on. πŸ™‚
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Gorgeous blooms. Is that a Montana? it looks like one I had that also loved to climb.

  3. Wow that’s amazing! I don’t think we have clematis here. I would think they would attract hummingbirds?

    • I haven’t noticed the hummingbirds in particular on the clematis but they must visit it. I do see finches nesting in the tall green shrubs covered with clematis.
