Are in Seattle – sang Perry Como. He was talking about this week.
The first five days of December – rain-free, for the record books.
Spent a day at Lincoln Park – where sea and sky merged blue,
save for the peaks – the Olympics.
A friendly harbor seal said hello, warm in his thermal skin suit;
At Alki others tested the waters – where temperatures hover near 50 degrees.
The seagulls were content to watch.
Done in sixes, did you notice?
A photo challenge, Six Word Saturday.
Nicely done and beautiful shots!
Thanks so much John! We’ve had an incredibly beautiful week in the Great Northwest!
I loved your sixes, Susanne. Well done! And what a beautiful place – great shots especially the views that include the Olympics. And, of course, I loved the seal too 🙂
Thanks so much for your comment and for hosting this photo challenge! 🙂
I don’t know about water temperature but we have blue, blue skies too. Have a great week 🙂 🙂
Thanks so much! You too!
The waters of Puget Sound are cold year-round so I was surprised to see some folks wading in December! I guess they were tricked by the blue skies and sunshine! 🙂
That last photo is fantastic!
Aw thanks so much! It’s funny, but I concentrated so much on getting six word phrases but I posted 7 pictures. No law against that of course, but being the nerd that I am, I went back and deleted a picture so I’d have a six word title, six word phrases and 6 pictures! 😉 Hopefully I didn’t delete the one you liked! 🙂
It was the seagull one. It was still there, and I did count six photos👍
Phew! Close call! 😉 🙂
I like that last picture.
Thanks Bob!! 🙂 🙂
Fantastic views and I remember that song. 🙂 From “Here Come the Brides.”
Yes, indeed! That was the theme song for that old sixties show!! 🙂
Always a delight to see the mountains, and seals too. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. It was such a gorgeous day. And the seal seemed to pop up and say hello to me. 😊
Did you pay the sea gull 50 cents for taking his picture?
We negotiated the rate down to 25 cents, quite a bargain! 😉
