Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
We’re back on standard time in the Great Northwest. Days are growing shorter and fall is winding down and it won’t be long till winter is upon us. But it’s not over yet and here in my backyard I’m still surrounded by green.
A few flowers are blooming – these from a groundcover with the unfortunate name of deadnettle.
Hydrangeas – though a bit ragged – also provide color and interest.
Benji and Tiger are out enjoying the sunny days while they can – as am I.
And that’s all for today from the fall garden.

Hydrangeas are so pretty β€
They’re wonderful in the fall. And so many varieties and colors! π
Your fall garden looks stunning π
Oh thank you so much! π
You have that ‘last gasp’ in action, Susanne. Our has already ‘gasped’, and it is cold and wet, with ground frost predicted for this weekend.
Best wishes, Pete.
Truly the last gasp. Yesterday was clear, sunny and beautiful. Today is gray, cold and rainy and is supposed to stay that way for at least a few days. All the more reason to enjoy the good days when we can! π
The weather looks awesome up there! Here in Fresno itβs just starting to cool down. My yard isnβt too green but if it starts raining it will look better. π
It was too good to be true I think! Yesterday was beautiful with clear skies and sunshine. Today it abruptly came to an end – as forecasted – and it’s pouring rain. π¦
Aww man!π
A reminder to get out and enjoy the good days when we have them! π
We had our first hard frost three nights ago and things look very pathetic I must say. You won’t see me sharing any images of our fall garden until snow covers it all.
A snow covered garden is wonderful. We had lovely weather the last week but it changed rather abruptly today and we’ll have rain the rest of the week. Oh well.
And today it is 65! Go figure.
