Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Okay so it wasn’t blue but that’s what they call it; the second full moon in a calendar month and all the more rare on Halloween. We had clear skies and no trick or treaters so I pulled out my camera to practice my moon shots – it’s been a while. The trees did their best to hold it down but the moon finally broke free.
And this is what a Blue Moon should look like, don’t you think?
That’s all for now. ~ Susanne
I love the pictures with the trees. Our moon was not quite blue either, more silvery grey
Thank you. π I guess the name of the moon doesn’t necessarily reflect the color so I tinted the last picture so it does! π
I thought so, love it!!
Beautiful photos!
Thanks John! I took a lot of pictures and was happy to get a few good ones!
We had a big yellow moon illuminating the sky, but it was so damp and cold outside, I couldn’t be bothered to photograph it.
Well done, Susanne.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. We had a beautiful day yesterday and clear skies at night so I’d planned ahead to take pictures from the backyard. I was happy to get a few good ones; and yes, the last one is ‘filtered’ blue. π
Stunning photos!
Thank you so much!
Very clever tinting job!
It seemed only right for a blue moon to be blue! π
Absolutely.
Beautiful !
Thank you! π
Beautiful!
Thank you so much! π
Your photos are absolutely stunning! I was so excited about the blue moon, but the sky was overcast and we couldn’t see anything behind the heavy cloud cover. Now we have to wait until 2023 to hopefully see another one. Thanks for sharing and have a good day π Aiva
Thanks so much! I was happy we had clear skies and enjoyed watching the moon rise. π
Great shots, Susanne! I had some full moon shots in my archives I shared on Facebook.
Thank you so much! I saw some of your beautiful moon shots on Instagram. π
So cool!
Thank you! π
