Nascar Hall of Fame

I think I can count on one hand the number of auto races I’ve seen in my entire life. Still, last year in Charlotte, we visited the Nascar Hall of Fame when we realized it was a few blocks from our hotel. Why not?

NASCAR stands for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and grew out of the Prohibition era when bootleggers modified their vehicles to outrun the federal agents who chased them.

It was worth the visit.

For this week’s photo challenge from CFFC, Letters or Numbers.

  1. I love Nascar. I’m a Tony Stewart Fan but love to watch others race as well. I’m more interested in the Monster Energy Races Than xfinity. Never been to a race just watch them on TV.

  2. I am not a fan of motor racing, but I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the track.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Thanks Pete. It’s huge in the South, so it was fun to visit and learn the history of the sport and see some of the old racecars. 🙂

  3. I am always amazed to see “old” cars at such places that I remember riding around in. Not race cars, of course!
