Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
There’s nothing better than a road trip and after a long winter we were overdue. So we headed north to Bellingham, my old college town near the Canadian border, and one of our favorite places. The drive was wonderful, especially as we stopped by Roozengaard in the Skagit Valley to see the daffodils in bloom.
Ooo la la!
Enough said – methinks the daffodils speak for themselves! π
More adventures to come.

Oh so very beautiful. π π
They were awesome! thank you! π
Wow this is amazing!
Yes the daffodils were gorgeous! And the tulips will be blooming in April which the area is famous for!
I would love to see the tulips
They’re spectacular! π
Thank youxx
That looks a lot like parts of Holland. Lovely to see so many flowers. π
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. π I’d love to see Holland someday. The Skagit Valley is famous here for the daffodils and tulips, which should be in bloom next.
Holland is nice and flat. It is directly opposite Norfolk, across the North Sea, and they have many similarities. π
You never cease to amaze me with your photos! This is heavenly!! My goodness, what a perfect display of God’s creation. Those colors and the beauty go on forever. Wow. I’m in awe. Thank you for helping me get there, if even only online β€
Thank you. I’m sorry for the late reply but I just found your comment. So glad you enjoyed the pictures. π
I have been amazed at the similarity between Pacific Northwest spring and that of Cornwall. Do you follow any Cornwall gardeners?
I don’t think I do, but I know that gardening in the Northwest is said to be similar to gardening in England. Similar weather I believe.
I didn’t know that until I started following Cornwall blogs.
Breathtaking! β€
Thank you! π
You’re very welcome! β€
What a great trip, and terrific photos as a result – thanks for sharing!
Thanks John! π
Beautiful.
Thank you! π
Oooh lovely.
Are they grown to be sold commercially? I have never seen so many in such near rows!!
Yes, Roozengaard is a huge grower of daffodils and tulips. π
Oooh so you may have to go back to see the tulips too!
Yes, planning on it! They’re famous for the tulips! ππ·
