Weekly Photo Challenge: Ascending over Mt Adams

On a recent flight from Seattle to Phoenix, I was lamenting the fact that I was once again sitting on the wrong side of the plane to see a close up of Mt Rainier. A few minutes later, as we continued to ascend, the oft neglected and underappreciated Mt Adams came into full view as the sun was beginning to set.

I think I got the better deal this time.

Amazing photo! From the sky?
Yes, on our flight from Seattle to Phoenix, not too long after takeoff. thanks! 🙂
Great shots from the plane, and I like your new-look blog style too!
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete! I don’t recall seeing Mt Adams from the air before so it was a treat. Also thanks for your comment on my new theme. I’d been looking to make some changes for awhile and finally settled on this one.
Ascending above the earth to capture such a view is wondrous. ❤
Thank you! I’ve seen Mt Rainier many times, but don’t recall ever seeing Mt Adams from above, so it was a treat! Especially at sunset! 🙂
Marvelous pictures!
Thank you! 🙂
