The Unexpected Joy of Getting Outside

It’s true isn’t?  There’s nothing like getting outside to give you a fresh perspective and yes, even fill you with joy!  We chose to do just that before the next snow was expected to arrive, walking the lakeshore trail at Coulon Park, where there was still much color to be seen.

There were birds and ducks of all persuasions out and about

including bald eagles high overhead.

That’s the thing about getting outside – you never know what special thing awaits you.

  1. Oh I love your eagle shots. I’m so glad you went out for while last week. Now you will have lasting memories of your walk. 😀

  2. I have to agree with you – there’s never a good enough reason to stay inside! Even on a cold and miserable winter day there’s so much to see and do outside. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

  3. I got outside today, as I do every day. But it was very different to your lovely scenes.
‘Storm Brendan’ in full swing, with thick mud, icy winds and squally rain. The wind has been increasing all day, with TV warnings of ‘Potentially damaging gusts’.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Some days are better for getting outside than others. I happened to catch a snow and rain free day. We are now in the middle of an storm here too, though we haven’t seen much accumulations yet.

  4. Great capture of the eagles. Thanks for sharing them. I see them here but have never tried to photograph them.
