Birds and Blooms – Busy as a Wren in my Garden

It was a busy week in the garden for the birds, though not for me and Benji – we preferred to watch.

But back in the corner a family of Wrens have taken up residence in one of the nesting boxes on the shed.

And they were out hunting and gathering all last week.

Delivering their juicy finds to their little ones.

There were other birds out and about too, like this handsome Spotted Towhee; they may have nests nearby too, though I don’t know where.

The bees haven’t been very active yet this year, which is worrisome, though I did find this one on the lavender.

There are plenty of other blossoms to choose from including:

Climbing Montana Clematis

Fragrant Lilacs

A newly acquired Hydrangea of many colors,

And always cheerful Pansies.
