Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
It’s cold and rainy here in the Great Northwest so I thought I’d cheer us up with some nature shots.
How about a doggie enjoying sunset at Cannon Beach. Not mine, but wouldn’t it be nice?

Here’s a chubby Robin looking quite dapper!

This Elk wants you to smile so show me your teeth!

Finally, an orange rose from my garden though not this year’s, which I am sharing with the Flower Hour.

As my cheerful husband would say, “Blue skies, smiling at me, nothing but blue skies, do I see.”
Just ahead.

Great post to highlight cheerful nature shots, Susanne! I have a female elk pic almost exactly like yours (from Yellowstone)–so cute! I think we’re having the same gray, windy, showery weather today, such a difference from Sunday. The coral color and picture of the rose is beautiful!
Thanks, Terri! That was a Roosevelt Elk near the Oregon Coast. Looked like she was smiling at me!
I needed some cheer today, and was happy to share a few pictures, including one of my favorite roses! 🧡😊
Aww, I know. I’ve been thinking of you. 🙏🐾
Thank you, Terri. 🥰
Cheerful indeed, and the Robin was my favourite!
Best wishes, Pete.
Glad you enjoyed them, especially the chubby Robin! 🙂
A lovely idea to brighten the day with these great nature shots! Your rose is especially beautiful 🌹
Thank you, Sarah! I love that rose! 🤎
Beautiful photos. I like the elk.
Thank you! She seemes to be smiling at me. 😊
My cheerful Dad used to sing that same song as your husband….nice memory!
It’s a wonderful song! 🌞
