Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
I have four raised garden beds; three of them are filled with herbs and roses; a bit messy perhaps but their colors and fragrance bring me joy.
I’ve had trouble getting plants to grow in the fourth bed. I don’t know why.
“Benji, do you have any ideas?”
“It’s vermin, Sue. Pure and simple. But don’t worry. I’m on it!”
“Are you sure, Benji? I think you’re the problem!”
“Surely you jest, Sue! I’m trying to help. Just leave it to me.”
“Okay, Benji. I give up. It’s all yours. We’ll wait and see whether the sunflowers and dahlias rise up from the ruins.”
~ Susanne and Benji
currently, a stray kitty (who is unfortunately very pregnant) has been doing a number on my one raised bed, using it as a litter box. i have a vet appointment for her but not for more than a week, so I may have kittens too.
Unfortunately it happens! I filled the 3 beds full so my kitties wouldn’t have room to use it for a cat box. The other bed is empty part of the year as the plants die back each year leaving it open for cat mischief. I hope you find homes for the kittens!
Benji seems to be enjoying himself! I guess you need some perennials to take up the empty spaces…
He certainly does have a good time! There are dahlias under
and some others that die back over the winter so I haven’t known what to plant over them, especially since Benji is laying there all the time!
Benji would never tear up a flower bed! π So cute. β€οΈ
He is certainly cute and entertaining which is why I keep him around! πΈπ»
Benji is a cutie.
Thank you! I think so, too! π»π»
Aww! So cute!
Thank you! π
Seems to you may have to resign yourself to having three beds for plants and one for Benji π
Probably so! Though hopefully some dahlias will make it through!
I’m sure Benji is just copying you, and thinks he is gardening! π
Best wishes, Pete.
I haven’t done much gardening lately so maybe he’s reminding me how it’s done! With gusto! π
Haha, you have such an amazing, adorable gardenerπ€£ππβ¨π±πββ¬π
Yes indeed! Thank you! π»π»
I hope Benji can help! I love your raised beds!
Thank you so much! π
Absolutely!
