Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
I was up in time this morning to see the moon hanging low in the western sky so after making my coffee and feeding the cats I decided to run outside and capture it before it set.
The Hunter’s Moon is the first full moon in the Northern Hemisphere of the fall season. It should still be full tonight so if the skies are clear I’ll try again as it rises. If I miss it, I’ll have to wait for the next one – November 19th.

Great pictures!
Thanks so much! I hadn’t photographed the moon in a while so had to fumble with my settings. I’ll try again tonight! 🙂
We were supposed to be able to see this full moon last night. But it was raining heavily, and low cloud completely obscured it. Nice to see it in your photos. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete. 😊 I’d forgotten all about it. We’ve had lots of rain here too so I haven’t been looking up. Happy to see it this morning.
Beautiful photos!! ❤️
Thanks so much!

Beautiful shots!
Thanks John! I was happy to get up in time to see it..
Nice moon shots! My camera doesn’t have a long enough zoom to get decent moon pics, so I really enjoy other people’s.
Thanks so much! 😊 My Sony RX10 does a decent job. They’d be better if I used a tripod but I don’t usually plan that far in advance.
Gorgeous. I will try to look out for the moon these upcoming nights when I take the puppy out.
Good thing I got the pictures yesterday morning. Last night we had a major storm here! I guess you have to seize the opportunity while it’s there! 🙂
I forgot to look up when I took her out since I was obsessed with her going so I could get back in bed!
