Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
It was a crisp and clear, sunny day – perfect for a walk at Coulon Park.
Trees bore leaves of red and gold and the Mountain was out
but it was a cloud that caught my eye.
It loomed large as I drove home and I stopped to watch it hover
Wondering if it had come for me.

Love the lenticular clouds. Mount Rainier seems to get a lot of them I think.
Yes, I’ve seen them hover as a cap over Mt. Rainier but usually not when I’m in a place to take a picture. Hopefully someday!
Great light for photography, and you captured some lovely images, Susanne.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. It was a beautiful day for a walk and I loved seeing the cloud.
Wow! Thatβs a gorgeous cloud!!
Isn’t it cool? It’s a lenticular cloud and it always reminds me of a flying saucer!
I think itβs so fascinating!
Wow, these are amazing pictures. I especially love the one of the duck. Thanks for sharing your walk.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it. π
Very cool cloud! π
Thanks! I loved seeing it! π
Beautiful, Susanne! I love how lenticular clouds appear from seemingly nowhere out of a clear blue sky. We saw these clouds a lot at our windy delta.
Thanks so much! I love them too. They sometimes appear as a mysterious cap over Mt. Rainier but I have yet to get a good picture of that!
The duck looks like she’s floating in a water lilies painting by Monet. Great image.
Thank you. π I liked how the leaves were swirling around in the lake.
You took a lovely shot.
Thank you so much. π
A beautiful “late fall” day and terrific photos!
Thanks so much John! We’re having a string of beautiful fall days. ππ
Do you know about the “Cloud Appreciation Society”? I think they would love to have some of your cloud photos!
No, never heard of it!
