Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
I’m so glad that spring is here and I’ll be spending more time in my garden; not an ordinary garden but one full of treasures most of them installed by my creative husband.Ā Though we do have a wood burning stove, the logs below are part of the garden art and a place for the ivy to roam.
Inspired by Sunday Stills, ‘Something Green.’

I really like the picture. First I thought it was a painting but I can see now that it is a photo. Good choice for “green”.
Thank you so much! š
At least it isn’t poison ivy, the scourge of New England wood piles.
Not poison ivy thankfully. English Ivy, though still invasive it looks good and we do our best to contain it.
I always think of Madeline “in a house in Paris that was covered with vines.”
Love it!
Aw thanks!! š
Ivy is a menace. But it’s a great photo, and log piles are an excellent habitat for all kinds of wildlife.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. š It’s true Ivy is invasive but we do our best to keep it confined.
A beautiful choice for green, Susanne! Garden art…is that what it’s called? I guess my hubby is an artist, LOL! It does look lovely though, and I prefer the natural look over the manicured yard. Thanks for joining Sunday Stills and hope to see you next week š
Thank you! This is one section of my backyard, the woodsy part, with stream and other ‘artifacts’ from my husband. This wood pile is truly there for decorative purposes as we have a wood shed for the wood we burn. I have garden beds too, but I so enjoy this ‘natural’ area with the woodpile and stream. And yes, I hope to be back to visit Sunday Stills again! š
Very nice photo. I like all the different shades of green.
Thanks so much! š
