Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Last night’s skies were mostly blue with clouds strewn about and lit from behind as the sun began to set.
The clouds gathered and thickened after sunset, saturated with lovely shades of blue, purple and lavender.
This morning’s skies look like dishwater as milky gray clouds form a single blanket covering everything. No picture necessary.
Remember the song, ‘Home on the Range?’
‘Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,
And the skies are not cloudy all day.’
They weren’t talking about the Pacific Northwest.

The last one is my favorite! I love the silhouettes of the trees in the foreground! 😀🌲🌲
Thank you! ☺ Funny how this morning everything is completely milky gray after all that color and beauty last night. The rhythms of life I guess.
Nice shots, Susanne. We have unseasonably warm weather here. I was just sat drinking wine, outside on the new garden furniture, for almost two hours. Very much what we call a ‘beautiful evening’ here.
Best wishes, Pete.
Sounds wonderful Pete! 🙂
I was just scrolling through the blogs I’ve been missing when I saw your clouds and couldn’t resist a closer look. A bit of weather makes for some wonderful skies, doesn’t it?
Yes. 🙂 I especially love watching the clouds of all shapes and sizes, filling the sky and drifting by. And makes for a good sunset too!
