Sweet Happenings in the Garden

Another springlike day, and Tiger went out to enjoy; not bad for an 18-year-old cat.

Benji is always game; not bad for a tripawd.

Flowers are beginning to appear among the fallen leaves and pinecones, this a tiny Cyclamen;

this a Lenten Rose.

A hummingbird dropped by and hovered over Tiger, I assume to say hello. I was charmed by the sweet and curious bird.

I didn’t get a picture of that, but I did get a few pictures of a hummingbird feeding, this a female Anna’s.

For more color, I picked up a pot of tulips when I was out and about this weekend;

I also picked up an orchid in a cup of love.

And that’s enough sweetness for one post; sharing with Sunday Stills, #Sweet.

  1. So much sweetness, Susanne! The cats are always sweet and precious! Wow, lovely flowers and already blooming? Love the tulips and orchid. I have teeny proof of life in my garden…the daffies and crocus are just emerging. Gorgeous hummers, and how cute it buzzed Tiger!

    • Thank you, Terri! I’m especially happy that Tiger wants to go out again. I’ve been giving him gabapentin, which has helped him with pain and sleep. Maybe that’s why the hummer stopped by to say hello! And how wonderful to have the early bloomers popping up!

  2. Your two beautiful cats always look sweet, and it’s lovely to see spring is starting to arrive in your corner of the world 😀

  3. Lovely colours, Susanne. Only Snowdrops in our garden, so far. I’m glad that Tiger didn’t make a grab for the little Hummingbird. 😺

    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Thanks, Pete. The hummer stayed a few feet above Tiger, just to check him out. Tiger was preoccupied, and didn’t seem to notice. Plus, he’s an old guy and moves pretty slow these days! 😸

  4. Nice to see your 2 kitties. I have not been getting notifications of posts so I missed over a month.
