My Anna’s Beauties in Red and Green

Perhaps fuchsia and green is a more accurate description, but since my feature photo includes red, I’m sticking with the theme!

Since I added a new feeder to the front maple tree, I’ve been enthralled by my visitors all day long, watching them through my office window.

It’s both distracting and wonderful.

Perhaps they’re distracted by me too. I do believe they know I’m here.

These beauties have brought me much joy this week! 🙂

  1. Nothing is more festive in red and green than watching the hummers feeding from the red feeders, Susanne! I can’t get over how much purple they have on their head and throat! My Sacramento Anna’s were drab in comparison 😆

Have the rivers subsided a bit this week there? Keep praying for snow, our whole state needs it!

    • I’ve really enjoyed watching the hummers from my office. The colors of the male are brilliant! I didn’t realize they’d look different in Sacramento!

The rivers are still high, and parts of Hwy 167 which is nearby, under water! The Cedar River that runs through Renton seems to have peaked. More rain expected this week, so I hope it doesn’t get any worse.

    • Thanks, Pete. I never get tired of watching them. 🙂 Adding another feeder in the front, visible from my office window, was a great move for all of us! 🙂
