Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Not this year’s garden. I didn’t plant any new fall flowers, and previous promised perennials don’t always come back; their high prices mean I sometimes hold a grudge.

Still, they live on in my archives, especially this favorite: Kismet Orange Coneflower.

I really should give it another chance.

If only for the bees.

How gorgeous are these? xx
Thank you!! ☺️😊
Wow!
☺️☺️
Wow, these cone flowers are so colorful, Susanne! It is nice when they come back! Are the yellow flowers with the purplish centers also a cone flowers? Those are stunning too!
Thanks, Terri! I really loved these brilliant orange ‘kismet’ coneflowers (also known as echinacea) and so did the bees! I remember they were expensive, so I was disappointed when they didn’t come back! I may try again next year. I think the yellow ones were black-eyed susans (rudbeckia) and they didn’t come back either. Oh well. I enjoyed them for a couple of seasons.
Oh yes, rudbeckia! I need to make a note. I had some that I bought a couple of years ago and planted. Didn’t grow back. Echinacia come in several color varieties. We see the wild ones in June and July here.
Fantastic, beautiful photos, Susanne!! ☺️❤️
Thanks, John!
You’re very welcome Susanne. ☺️
The coneflowers are gorgeous, especially when viewed on a miserable wet day in London!
Thanks, Sarah! We’ve been cold and rainy here too!
Sorry – there was an issue with the server and my comment seems to have appeared in triplicate!
No problem, Sarah. I’ll delete a couple of them. ☺️☺️
Love to see the Bees! Great photos, Susanne.
