Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
On our getaway to Portland, we stayed with my sister and were delighted to meet two additions to the family. Still kittens, fluffy and silky in black, they greeted us every morning with tiny meows and kitty antics.

I’ve never had long-haired black kitties, and I was immediately captured by their beauty. If they were mine, I would give them names of royalty, perhaps Sheba and Victoria would do.

I’ll have more to share from our trip in later posts, but the visit with the family was the best.

They are adorable. I once had two black cats. They didn’t have royal names though. Monkey and Pumpkin, very unroyal.
I fell in love with them in the few days we were there. They also did not have royal names – they are Rumble and Faker – apparently from video games!
I’m glad that your trip was great, Susanne! The cats are beautiful! π»
Thanks, John, We had a great time, and got to enjoy these beauties, too!
Lucky you! Meow. π»π
I used to have a long haired black cat. Her name was Precious.
Another good name for a beautiful cat!
Those poses are so hilarious!
Aren’t they fun? So uninhibited! π
I’ve always liked black cats and long haired cats especially!!
I’ve never had one, so I didn’t realize how beautiful they are! π And these had the sweetest dispositions!
Awwww awesome. My last dear cat was a black with orange points (called a blue cream torti) Some black cats may have done sassy catitude but they are very kittenish at heart . β€οΈπΎπ
Awwww. π»π» These 2 had such sweet dispositions!
Beautiful cats too β glossy fur and dramatic eyes πΎπ
They are beautiful.
I think so, too. Made me want to get a new bonded pair of kittens! But that’s not going to happen. πΊπΊ
