The Red Among the Lavender

Lavender was the star of the show in Sequim last week, but I found plenty of red, too, in the poppies and crocosmia.

But the fields were mostly purple at Purple Haze Lavender Farm,

and Jardin du Soleil.

Did you know that Sequim, Washington is the Lavender Capital of North America and that you can visit dozens of lavender farms there? Well now you do!

Sharing the reds with Becky’s Square Challenge, #SimplyRed.

  1. 💜❤️💜 Totally awesome to see the lavender with poppies — the red shows off the lavender — they look great together!

  2. A nice sunny visit by the look of it. I really like crocosmia and had several in my old Washington garden.

  3. Stunning views of the lavender, Susanne! Gorgeous angles and perspectives! There is a lavender farm 15 miles away from us. I bought a plant there 3 years ago and it has really grown!

    • Thanks so much, Terri! I never get tired of visiting the lavender farms in Sequim! I love growing lavender too and picked up another plant while I was there. 🙂

  4. Magnificent! I like to visit Purple Haze Lavender Farm. Wishful thinking🤩 Thanks for sharing, Sussane

  5. Hi Susanne
That is exactly how it looks in our garden. We live in lavender country here, which is also called Poppy Land.
We wish you a happy week

  6. I feel as if I could almost smell that lavender from here! And I love the pop of red against the softer mauve tones, especially in the poppy shots 🙂
