Well, technically, since they are monoecious, where both pistils and stamens are on the same plant, it is both he/she! Grand indeed!

I remember that tree – we stayed in that resort and of course had to take a walk as soon as we arrived to photograph it (difficult given its height!)
We love visiting that tree! We stayed at Lake Quinault Lodge, but may stay there next time!
