Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
We’ve had four days in a row of pure sunshine and temperatures reaching the 70’s; the sun-starved natives of the Pacific Northwest are rejoicing!
The chickadees are happy too and busy excavating nests in the snag we left standing for this purpose.

I hope they find the accommodations suitable.
I’m delighted to have them.

This is so cute, Suzanne! It’s amazing the angles the bird can get to with its tiny legs, that would hurt us! I’m glad you’ve had better weather, probably better than way down here. š
Thanks, John! I love chickadees and I’m happy to see them using the snag. And we are so thankful to finally get some warm temps and sunshine!
I miss our summer heat! I can’t recall seeing any Chickadee here but my feeders are all for Hummingbirds thanks to the Rock Pigeons. The Chickadee is common back home in Michigan. ā¤ļø
Good photos of nature in action!

Great photos! A very photogenic chickadee!
Thank you! š
Cute little birds, I would love having them too! And I’m glad to hear spring has finally arrived in your part of the world š We have just a hint of it too, today, but it’s teased us a few times previously so I’m not counting on it hanging around!
Thank you! I’m hoping this little heatwave is a foretaste of good things to come!
Great photos of those busy birds, Susanne!
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! I was happy to see them using the snag.
