Today’s Fragrance in the Garden

The clematis continues to climb high in the sky but its beauty is not in its fragrance.

For that you must look closer to the ground – to the cool colors in the herb garden

– especially the lavender.

And the sweetest scent comes from my favorite azaleas –

the fragrance of honeysuckle.

  1. Thanks for the photos of your Spring garden – so refreshing and vibrant!🌸🌺

    • Oh I love the smell of lilacs too! I have a small bush but it has never bloomed. I keep waiting and hoping! Maybe next year! πŸ™‚

  2. Your lavender looks fantastic! I hope mine will bloom like that!

  3. Such awesome photos! When I was a little girl my grandparents had lavender in their yard and my grandpa would go around with dried lavender in his shirt pocket. And my grandma would make us little sachet bags from it for our dresser drawers😊

  4. We have Lavender at the front, but it is late to flower this year. Nice photos, Susanne.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Thanks Pete. There are so many beautiful flowers in the garden but I love the fragrant ones most of all. πŸ™‚
