Fall’s Early Twilight

I went outside after sunset last night and saw the moon surrounded by lavender and violet.Β  It was only 5:00 p.m.

By 5:15 the colors moved west settling behind nearby trees,

before disappearing from view.

I love early fall sunsets but not the early darkness that follows.

  1. The purple is splendid. We only get a peek at the sunset from our home, but I cherish the display of colors too.

  2. Just look at those beautiful colours! Winter weather starts early in Ireland and while we rarely get extreme temperatures it’s the dampness that’s the joy killer, that’s why we cherish every moment of colourful sunsets

    • Thank you! I wonder if our climates are similar. We’re pretty damp here in Seattle too from November to April! πŸ™‚
