Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
A feeder hangs from a maple tree in front of my house. I watch the hummingbirds zip by from my office window, their heads and faces, as colorful as flowers.

The snow has melted. My handsome Anna’s Hummingbirds cheer me on the road to spring.

Beautiful color!!
Thank you! I never get tired of those handsome hummingbirds!
I rarely see hummingbirds around here – there are a few people who put out feeders but they can’t seem to attract any hummers….
Does it get too cold where you are? The Anna’s stay year-round her in the Pacific NW, our climate is generally moderate.
Suzanne we are in Northern Indiana and it is quite cold here from Mid September to May…
That’s probably it. I think the hummingbirds prefer the warmer climates.
Some people will get a few but not in the numbers you do! When I was in Costa Rico I got to feed a hummingbird – it was quite the experience!!
One of the best-ever views from your office window. I’m jealous.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! I do love the view from my office! 🙂
