Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
Last week we took a walk on the Cedar River Trail. It had rained the night before and heavy clouds remained overhead.
But the river was still and placid,
reflecting the loveliness nearby.
For Sunday Still’s, Stillness.

I just happened to be perusing through everyone’s blogs that I follow, and noticed it says your post was only 11 minutes ago! Such pretty photos, and very peaceful looking. I keep telling myself I need to do some of those photo prompts, but so far have never gotten around to it 😋
Thanks so much. Yes, you caught this one hot off the press! ☺ I enjoy the photo challenges as they help me share some of my favorite photos. I thought these fit the ‘stillness’ theme. ☺
Hi Nan, I would love to see you join Sunday Stills. I post each month’s prompts on my page in advance for those who like to plan ahead 😁
Awesome! I will try to remember that! 😀
I like ‘Placid’, Susanne. That’s the direction I am heading in. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Placid is good – especially on a Monday. ☺
Stunning reflections and interpretation of stillness, Suzanne! Hard to tell which is top or bottom.
Thanks so much! I was happy to capture some reflections over the river. ☺
Is there ever much of a current in this river?
Yes. It varies at different spots and different times of year, and depends on amount of snowmelt.
