Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
I went looking for tan and peach in my garden, it wasn’t easy to find.
Most everything is green, including my garden shed, though you do see Bob’s decorations in tan.

I managed to find peach in the one nasturtium blooming. I get far too many leaves, a sign the soil may be too rich; nasturtiums prefer poor soil.

I found both tan and peach in a garden spider, perhaps not what you wanted to see. Some of you are skittish but it’s spider season and this variety doesn’t bother me; it’s the black ones in the house I detest!

But the best example today of tan with hints of peach is this handsome boy, who’s always willing to pose for me.

Hi Benji! Spiders creep me out so much. 💀
Yeah, I don’t know too many people who like spiders! 😁🕸
Right! 😂 But, they have their purpose in nature of course.
Very handsome indeed.
I have to agree! Benji is quite the looker!😸
Aww, Benjie and his tan, cute, Susanne! I love your tan decor against the green shed. And I enjoy seeing spiders…outdoors. The Seattle area looked lush and green when we were there 2 weeks ago. Happy summer ☀️
Thanks, Terri. We are still mostly green here, though I sense autumn just around the corner. And I couldn’t resist including my handsome Benji, looking so fine on the deck today.
Nice! I’m a fan of the cat but not the 8-legger! *shudder*
I couldn’t resist using the spider, which was the perfect color combination and actually quite small! And I can never resist sharing a picture of my handsome Benji. 😺
Benji is so photogenic!
Thank you! I thought he looked quite debonair lounging on the deck! 😺
Well done for trying hard to hit the challenge! I don’t mind spiders outside, where they belong. If they get inside, my wife kills them on sight. If they could read, I would put a sign up! 🕷 Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete. We are still quite green here, so finding some tan and peach colors was challenging! The spider fit the bill. These little garden spiders outside don’t bother me, it’s the black ones inside that do! I call Bob to kill those for me.
I love nasturtiums! I don’t think they always do so well in the hot Fresno weather, but once I had some in a shady area by my front porch and they were really pretty. And Benji is adorable as usual. Spiders? Well… having been the “pest control guy’s wife” for so many years, I have to say that most bugs don’t really bother me either. Not that I particularly want them in the house, though!
I like nasturtiums, too, though I usually get more leaves than flowers. The little garden spiders are spinning their webs everywhere outside and I don’t mind them. It’s the black ones in the house that I can’t handle and call for my exterminator, Bob! 😀
