Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
May was full of rain, dampening spirits, and keeping us inside.

It was also full of unforeseen circumstances, limiting my time in the garden and on the blog.
But the flowers still bloomed without any effort on my part

and this morning dawned bright.

Summer is on the way, and I am ready to move forward.

Thankful that every season brings a fresh start.

a wonderful way to see out the end of the month and move forward into June
Thank you. And thank you for the inspiration your challenge provides. 🙂
Good luck with June. We have just had almost 24 hours of rain, and more ‘showers’ forecast for tomorrow. It was so cold this morning that I had to put the central heating on. We are supposed to have ‘some sunshine’ on Sunday, but the standing water on my walks is still a foot deep. Best wishes, Pete.
Today is our good day, then increasing chance of rain in the forecast all next week. And June is sometimes called Juneuary here, with summer usually kicking in after the 4th of July. Still, one can hope!
Gorgeous weather in New York, but on a regular basis the clouds appear, the skies darken and we get a thunderstorm for an hour then it vanishes!
Crazy spring weather. Our rain persists for days at a time, fortunately no thunder.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to get motivated to go anywhere, even just to the grocery store, when my own yard is such a little piece of heaven. Yours looks a lot like mine, random, lightly-manicured, with spaces for lizards, birds, bugs and the occasional raccoon, opossum or tom cat.
I’m happy to wander in my yard/garden, watching the birds and the bees, the cats having a bite of catmint, and picking a sprig of lavender to inhale the fragrance. Yes, it’s a bit unkept, but as you say, just the way I like it.
Love your yard. Beautiful. Hugs, C
Thanks so much! 🙂
