1. Phone cameras have impoved so much. My wife was able to photograph the northern lights using ‘night mode’ on her phone camera. I took my Panasonic (‘real camera’) LX-100 outside, and it refused to fire the shutter because I wasn’t using a tripod. Hers is also a Samsung phone. I don’t know the type, (S-something) but it is 3 years old. Benji looks fine!

   • Thanks so much, Pete! I was impressed with the clarity of the cameras on the new phones, which is the main reason I upgraded. I wish I’d remembered the Northern Lights last night as it was advertised all week. My friends in the Northwest are posting incredible pictures, and I believe most of them were using their phones!

     • All the phone photos of the NL I have seen are far superior to those where people used cameras. For a quick ‘grab and shoot’, it seems that phones are the best option.

3. He is so gorgeous. Have you already posted the story behind his ear? (Hope it’s not rude to ask.)

   • Thanks so much 😸 No problem asking. He was a rescue cat from Seattle Humane. Many rescue organizations clip the ear to show a cat has been neutered. Overkill, in my opinion, but he was like that when we got him.

     • I think it gives him a very cute, quirky look!
