Autumn Comes in on a Cloud – at Coulon Park

After a very warm and dry summer, the rain arrived last week, the tail end of one of many storms that slammed the West Coast.

It was inevitable and welcome.

I went for a walk at Coulon Park where the beach was deserted.

Billowy clouds filled the sky.

And colors were beginning to show.

Welcome, September!

  1. You are finally getting the weather we have had all summer long. Fortunately, it is set to improve here next week, when we will be at the coast on our annual holiday.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Yes, after such a dry summer, we have rain interspersed with our nice days and it definitely feels like autumn. I’m glad to hear you’re expecting good weather at the coast. Enjoy! 🙂

    • I know what you mean. 🙂 We still have some good days ahead, but the weather has definitely changed and it feels like autumn.

  2. Well I tried commenting from my phone’s jetpack app but no go…it is great to see your link, Susanne. I’m glad summer’s end landed on your side of the state! Those lovely puffy clouds are a welcomed sight I’m sure. Nice to see the hints of color in the foliage, too. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

    • Thanks, Terri. I’ve had some problems with jetpack this week, too. And even had issues loading pictures into WordPress on my desktop. On the weather front, we definitely turned the corner into autumn, and I welcome it. 🙂

  4. I see from those hydrangeas that it has been a dry summer there. Here our hydrangeas have grown to ridiculous heights from all the rain. It took me a bit to even know that the tall bush in the backyard was one!
