Crows in Flight

For as long as I can remember I have been intrigued by crows. On a recent walk before sunset I saw hundreds of them perched in treetops noisily chattering away until they all took flight to the next tree and then the next as they continued to caw, making the rounds again and again, partying I guess you could say, until it was time to settle down for the night.

I’ve always liked the collective name, murder of crows, and cool to watch as the murder moves around.

We have similar large flocks of them around here. The local farmers go out shooting them, but I enjoy their noisy socialising.

  Thanks Pete. I know a lot of people dont like crows but they’re very intelligent birds and I find them interesting and fun to watch.
