Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life

“Wow Benji,” I said. “How you’ve grown! You’re an adult cat now. And so handsome!”

“Aw thanks Sue,” he said.

“But now that I’m here, I don’t really want to be grown up after all! It’s a bit scary you know.”

“Yes I know Benji. Go ahead and stay young. I feel the same way too.”

Aw, growing up isn’t so bad. Effie is there–she’s three–and she has authority. She’s definitely an Alpha female!
Effie is a beauty and certainly commands respect! 🙂 Benji is two years old now, handsome and mature physically but not quite ready to give up his kittenish ways! I guess that’s about right, as that’s roughly 24 in human years. 😉
So cute! Foster has come out of the kitten stage but at just over 1 year old I think he qualifies as a “teenager”…discovering his independent side LOL. I love the colors of the walls in your pictures!
Thank you! Foster is so cute too! At 1, Benji was pretty wild! At 2 years old he qualifies as an adult, but he’s still a teenager at heart! Either way he’s such a sweet boy and we love him! 🙂
I often wonder if our pets have any sense of getting older. Ollie is six in February, but his behaviour has hardly changed in five years.
Best wishes, Pete.
I wonder too. I only noticed recently how much Benji had matured physically. He has calmed down quite a bit but is still full of spunk! 🙂
Quite the handsome cat, easing into his prime!
Yes! thank you! 🙂
I tried drawing Benji again today, from one of the pictures in this post! Not perfect of course, but I think I’ll use it in Foster’s “blog friends” post. Is it okay if I include a link to your blog in my post? 🐱🐼
Sure! thank you. 🙂
Ok thanks! I’m new to blogging so I don’t really know the “protocol” for these things! 😀
I feel the same way!
