Yesterday in the Garden

I came home yesterday after a very busy week and had a few minutes before I needed to start dinner. So I grabbed my camera and went out to the backyard where I found

my new dahlias in bloom –

fuchsias – the most beautiful of the difficult flowers to spell –

Benji enjoying the catmint –

Anna’s hummingbirds coming to feed –

and I was refreshed.

Isn’t that what hobbies are for?

For Sunday Stills.

    • Thanks so much, Pete! I’m thankful for the beauty in my own backyard! And I’m always happy to catch the hummingbirds feeding. πŸ™‚

  1. Lovely photos. The dahlia is beautiful, with the white and yellow and the symmetry of flower. And yes on the hobbies sentiment!

  3. Love it! I once had a fuchsia in a hanging basket and surprisingly it did pretty well. But in the central California climate, it eventually meet its demise.

  4. Those fuchsias are gorgeous and I had to copy and paste the word so that I didn’t misspell it.
