Sun Setting on Summer

The long and busy days of summer are waning and fall is in the air.

Smoky skies have cleared and last week’s orange sun has returned to normal.

Still no rain but that will come.

  1. We have had no summer this year. Today is the 19th of August. It only got to 61F with grey skies, and it has been raining lightly all day. I think I am writing off 2021! Bring on 2022!
(Or maybe not. As I will be 70, and that’s scary!)
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Sorry you didn’t get to have a real summer this year! We had way too much of it here including that all time high temperature of 113 and weeks on end without rain. Neither extreme is good! Let’s hope for a delightful fall on both sides of the ocean and a wonderful 2022. And don’t worry, they say 70 is the new 50 though I wouldn’t know. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

  2. I’m not much of a football fan, but….I LOVE FOOTBALL WEATHER! Cool evenings, the occasional foggy morning, sunny warm afternoons, gorgeous sunsets exactly as you often photograph, and a prolonged twilight. Yup. Football weather! Seattle has the best ever.

  3. I love when fall is in the air! It’s my favorite season of the year. Unfortunately there are so many wildfires in California in August. 😒

    • The weather really changed here in the last few days and it seems like the worst of summer is over. We have cool temps and even some rain and I’m loving it.. Hope California gets some rain soon to help douse the wildfires.🌧
