Musings on cats, travel, gardens and life
The snow arrived on little cat feet yesterday then mounted a lion-size assault overnight, so we woke to this.
Like most Seattleites I was thrilled as it seemed winter had been passing us by.
Parents called in, schools were closed and social media lit up with pictures of kids and dogs playing in the snow. Fortunately I no longer have to call in and no children here either so my own pictures were of the cat variety. Benji was anxious to explore the mysterious landscape and I was happy to tag along.
I love the snow because it makes the ordinary magical. But now that winter has finally arrived, I’m ready for spring.

It was definitely magical today! I love that your cat got out and played in it, I opened the door for mine and he just looked at me like I must be kidding. 🙂
Wasn’t it wonderful?? 🙂 Benji is definitely adventurous and was outside off and on today. But he’s been snuggled up inside the last few hours. 🙂
I can imagine all the excitement wore him out! I love that the snow stuck around unlike the usual where it melts away before noon. Glad I don’t have to drive tomorrow because I bet it will still be around it’s so cold!
Yes, he attacked the snow with gusto! As far as we humans go, it’s not nearly so fun if you have to drive in it! 🙂
Oh Benji! What terrific photos!
Thanks so much! 😊🐱
It certainly looks lovely, but I am glad you got it, and not me! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete. I remember you don’t like snow so I’m glad we got it and not you too! 😊
He is so HAPPY in the snow!
Yes indeed and so fun to watch!! 🙂
How ironic. You had snow and here in New England it was 63 degrees yesterday.
That must be where all our good temperatures from last month went! Enjoy! We’ll be enjoying our snowy weather into the weekend at least! 🙂
Just talked to a friend at Cannon Beach who has snow on Haystack Rock.
Yes I saw a picture! 🙂 We are now waiting for the next storm to roll in!
Here it is raining and mild. Go figure.
