Snoqualmie Close Up

We took a day trip yesterday to one of our favorite local attractions: Snoqualmie Falls.

Up the road we found the river flowing deep and wide, silently through the little town of Carnation.

We stopped at Tolt MacDonald Park where the foot bridge is the best place to watch the river flow and also frames the farmland and Cascade Mountains nearby.

  1. Nice to have such a lovely waterfall nearby. I would have to travel to Scotland to see anything like that.
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Hi Pete. Yes, it’s a beauty and a fairly short drive. It’s easy to take for granted. This is the place everyone brings their out of town guests. 🙂

  2. The Cascade country is so beautiful and refreshing; I’m glad you got away from the destruction-construction around your home.

    • Yes. They are still at it behind us. Yesterday I wrote about the little red headed woodpecker who seemed bewildered. Last night the same woodpecker (I believe) took refuge in the trees in our yard. I would be pleased if he took up residence here!
